The ethanol production plant consists of many different engineering buildings that make a functional whole. The process of extracting biofuels is complicated and energy intensive so a special care was taken when placing different parts of the plant to ensure optimal pathways and minimum energy loss.

The main resource for producing ethanol is corn. The need for corn was estimated at about 450,000t/year which would greatly, positively, impact the local farmers who would have a constant buyer for their produce. Over 150,000t of ethanol was supposed to be produced here per year. It was a real challenge for our project team to navigate all the rules and regulations regarding this type of industry.
